Takashi Karaki was born in 1969 in Osaka.

He came to Tottori Prefecture twelve years ago. He started his career as a photographer by taking photos of Mt. Daisen and its surrounding local area. His photos
shone a spotlight on the unnoticed beautiful landscape seen only in the early morning and midnight, and started to be used in the sightseeing posters and websites by local governements.

In Fall 2013, he published his first photographic book titled "瞬~matataku~". He held an exhibition in Vladivostok and Khabarovsk in March 2014, and in Shanghai in July 2015.

One of his photo was chosen as the top 10 among 100,000 photos at Tokyo Camera Club, which is one of the most famous online photography websites in Japan with more than 300,000 fans. In June 2014 and 2015, he attended Tokyo Camera Club co-exhibition held in Shibuya, Tokyo.
