Kurayoshi City began as a castle town. Many of the old homes of merchants and white-walled storehouses built from the Edo Period to the Meiji Era remain standing there. Near the city lies one of the world's richest radium springs, Misasa Onsen.

The old houses are renovated into cafes and souvenir shops. Good for stroll.

Koitanibashi is a bridge over the Misasa River. It is famous as a place to pray for success of love.

Kawahara Onsen is an open hot spring right by the river. It is for free. There is also a foot bath.
