The beautiful old white wall storehouse group (Shirakabe Dozogun) with red-tiled roofs (Akagawara) are built mostly in Edo and Meiji period. The area has been selected as a national important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings. Strolling and visiting souvenir shops and cafes in the buildings, one can certainly slip back in time!
